Arsenal legend wants to sign Premier League star over Real Madrid's Rodrygo
Ray Parlour says Arsenal should sign Morgan Rogers instead of Rodrygo in the summer transfer window. Aston Villa's Rogers had a breakthrough season in the English Premier League, totalling 14 goals in 54 appearances in all competitions. Parlour feels Rodgers, 22, and called up by England, could be worth taking a chance on, and is a superior option to Rodrygo – a 24-year-old forward at Real Madrid who has been said to be unhappy with his role at the Bernabeu.

Arsenal are also looking at RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, who has a £67.5m release clause in his contract. Sesko has been a part of Slovenia’s squad but was forced out through injury recently — though, it should not impact a move. The Gunners are hoping to retain midfielder Thomas Partey, whose contract will expire at the end of this month, but would be open to offers for Kieran Tierney both he and Jorginho will be allowed to leave at the end of their contracts. Tierney will be plying his trade at former celt club Celtic, while Jorginho is set to put pen to paper with Brazilian outfit Flamengo. Arsenal are also making progress with their efforts to trigger the £51m release clause in Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi’s contract, but face competition from Liverpool and Real Madrid for the midfielder, who will join the Spain squad for the upcoming European Championship after Madrid’s Sergio Busquets contracted Covid-19.
